Problem Note 51352: Documentation for the -MGMTPORT spawner parameter in the post-installation configuration step for SAS/CONNECT® is missing from the configuration guide

DetailsAboutRate It

The post-installation configuration for SAS/CONNECT in the Configuration Guide for SAS® 9.4 Foundation for z/OS is missing instructions for the new SAS/CONNECT spawner parameter -MGMTPORT.

This parameter can be added to the SAS/CONNECT spawner's PARMS file or specified as an option in the SAS/CONNECT spawner's started task JCL (Job Control Language).

The entry for this parameter in the configuration guide should be as follows:

-MGMTPORT enables you to specify the service name or port number that will listen for operator connections. Operator connections are connections made through the operator port. The operator port is a unique port number that is used for administrative purposes.

Range 1- 65535

Additional examples and documentation for this parameter are available from the document Communications Access Methods for SAS/CONNECT® 9.4 and SAS/SHARE® 9.4, in the section titled "General Spawner Options."
